Finding a home business that is right for you is not hard to do but it takes some time and you should take some time in the assessment process. Once you find a home business that suits you and offers the training and motivation that you require to be successful, make sure that you take advantage of that training and the knowledge that your upline brings. All the training in the world cant help you if you are unwilling to learn.

So you want to start your own home business? Well, the kind of a business you choose is very important. Some people are very interested in health products. This type of business is more popular now because of the baby boomers, I am one, and health and wellness is very important to me. Boomers are looking for a way to live as long as they can and enjoy life to the fullest. Staying healthy usually means a longer life.

So staying healthy is the way to go and there are a lot of companies to choose from. Before deciding on a Network Marketing company you need to do some thorough investigating. I recommend searching on Google to get information but any of the search engines will do a similar job.

There are hundreds of companies out there from which to choose. There are many scams too so you will want to choose wisely. Google is a great way to investigate companies. These are my recommendations and I hope you will find them helpful.

I would want a well established company that is from 7 to 10 years old. The reason for this is many companies start out with greatness. They will say this is a wonderful company and you will be smart to get involved now. You will want to be at the very beginning. It is like they are saying, get the best seat available. You will have all the advantages in getting started quickly. This is how you get rich quick. Don't delay, time is of the essence. Or timing is everything. The truth is, most businesses fail within the first 5 years.

I would find out who the leaders are in this company and their background. Who is the President and who is the CEO? How long have they been in these positions and what have they set up for their new distributors? Do they have a board with people that can take part in each and all of the different part of this business?

Is the company completely out of debt, and are they owned by the company or publicly traded? Finances are definitely information you want to know. I believe that a business is strongest when it is out of debt and owned by the business. They do not have stock holders that they have to keep happy and answer to their advice and needs.

What are their products? Do you like the products and want to use them yourself? Will others have needs for these products? Do they have many products or are they only having one? Do they have any way of making their product stand out above their competitors. How are the prices that they charge for their products? Are they overpriced so no one will buy them? Would you buy them?

How much does it cost to get started and how much do I pay monthly? This is important because you will need to use your own products as auto ships are usually important if you are wanting to make money yourself. And that is usually the goal for anyone is making money. The cost to get in should be reasonable to attract others.

How the compensation plan works? There are compensation plans to stay away from. This is something you need to study. I do not think binaries are good.

Do they buy leads or buy customers? Most businesses buy leads and provide their new people with training on how to be successful with leads. New people think there will be more success with leads than there is. Also Leads are very expensive and the variance in cost depends on how new they are and whether they are previously interviewed etc. I prefer buying customers and not buying leads. Your home business will be more sound.

When you get all of these questions answered, you will know quite a bit about the business that you are looking at and whether it is for you or not. Don't jump in so fast that you don't have all your answers. You may be told an untruth so check things out thoroughly. It can be very expensive finding out about a company the hard way. Getting your own home based business is serious business and choosing the right business makes all the difference in the world.

Often when we talk about a successful home business, we just talk about the Business. Is it turning a profit? How are you doing is translated by most people to mean – how much profit is coming in the door. Yes, your home business needs to turn a profit, no denying that.

But I want to talk about your self-care today. So how is your business? It is only as good, as strong and as healthy as you are. This may seem like it is a kind of a different view but so true. It is important, no imperative that each of us that anyone who has a home business set up a firm unshakable health care plan or our business will crash as sure as winter follows summer.

So what are some things to consider? There is family, friends, nutrition, exercise, getting outdoors, fun activities and spiritual path (whatever that means to you), work time and sleep, just to name a few considerations. As a business mentor some of the questions I ask a new client or team member is: Tell me a little bit about yourself. Do you have a family, and such? Share with me about your social life, friends, activities, church or spiritual life. We talk about how important self care is, because it isn't just important, it's VITAL.

Just as your business, whatever kind it is, will need regular tending and responsibilities taken care of, so will your plan for person health and vitality. It is so easy to start working harder and longer hours when working for yourself, working to the point of exhaustion and burnout. That will not get you want you want which is a successful home business and family.

Some things to consider for your business:

Have a personal plan just like you do a business plan. I humbly suggest you start each day (if you have a job and also work at home, or if you work at home only), by getting up earlier enough that you have quiet time for things that set your day on the right track. For example: meditation, prayer, contemplation, journaling your blessings and your feelings, yoga or some form of exercise. I don't think I know a truly successful person that doesn't take care of the inner self.

Nutrition becomes essential. Let go of the survival on coffee to just keep going and the sugar rush, fast foods and eating over your key board. Sit down and take breaks to enjoy your meals. Weather permitting, get outside and have your lunch break. A sound diet of real foods, well prepared and supplemented with natural vitamins and supplements will help to keep your health strong.

Take time, no not take time, MAKE TIME for family and friends or you may wake up someday with a very profitable home business and find you've lost your family. It happens so make sure family time is held as sacred.
